Let the Conversation begin

The Founder Reflection,

What has been on my mind a lot of late, is what makes us truly and uniquely human in this awesome and expanding universe of ours.  I believe that is responsibility. We have the ability to respond to our environment in a way that glorifies and magnifies or destroys.  We cut down a tree and make weapons or violins.  We have the ability to provide loving care and protection to our children, or we can cast them into confusion and a sense of being worthless or less. To fulfill our human role as responsible parents, we must strive for integrity – not a false image of perfection which causes us to hide our weaknesses from others and even ourselves, but an honest effort to be our best and most trustworthy self.  Children need to be able to trust their parents or those in a parental role in their life, especially in these times of constant and ubiquitous temptation and promotion of entitlement to seek self-benefit over care for others.

Father-Con is about inspiring greater responsibility and the joy that is unique to being trustworthy as individuals and as parents.

Traffickers rely on our failing at home. They rely on our being overwhelmed and distracted. They rely on our justifying not being the best versions of ourselves and the most engaged parents we can be. Traffickers rely on our concentrating more on avoiding responsibility than being the men and women who have the love and respect of our children.

Let’s deny them what they need to exploit more children!  Come to Father-Con 2023!
