September 2022: Join The ConVersation

Let the Conversation begin

Thursday evening on September 8th we made waves with our screening of the film Our Kids Online and the panel discussion after with Dr. Stephany Powell of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation and Helen Taylor of Exodus Cry – both organizations which have led the fight to make porn providers accountable for their illegal and traumatizing policies of allowing non-concentual videos of minors being raped and exploited to be uploaded and made available around the world.

We also had the skillful moderating by Mark Winkler author of My Daughter’s Keeper as well as the current reality as told by Detective John Daniel who handles cases of internet crimes against children. The points made by the film and discussion were dramatically punctuated by the spontaneous testimony of one member of the autdience who told of her involvement at the age of 14 with a guy she ultimately fell in love with over the course of a year of grooming only to meet and be raped. This drove home the importance of fathers and families being safe environments for children to maintain their curiosity without being injured in life threatening ways in the privacy of a child’s bedroom or bathroom!

Please don’t miss our next film and discussion on the theme of foster care which has become a pipeline for the 400,000 displaced children to be targeted for exploitation and abuse.
