January 2022: Join The ConVersation
Let the Conversation begin
Last weekend I was blessed to be at the Beacon for Victims Human Trafficking awareness event at Refuge Calvary Chapel in Huntington Beach with fellow board member Joseph Luisi talking to all attending about Father-Con and our mission for dads. The response was very rewarding with interest quite high and support forthcoming. After breaking down our display there, I dashed off to Riverside for a screening of a new documentary, Sextortion: The Hidden Pandemic. I was able to meet with my friend Opal Singleton who created this film, Sheriff Bianco, Steven Bray, Ken White, Maria Demeshkina Peek and her husband Stephen Peek who directed and produced the film under the harsh conditions of a covid surge. The film was – even for myself, hardened by years of watching films, speaking with survivors and witnessing the brutality of human trafficking, I was brought to tears learning of a very young girl who experienced the assault on her innocence by an adult posing as a child to lure her into sexual behavior and then demanding more under threat. Amanda chose suicide. Not only are we losing children to the spirit-breaking of predators and traffickers, but we are also seeing the fracturing of families, marriages which are at a 22% increase during Covid, and fathers who have lost control of their lives and integrity, also choosing self-destruction as hopelessness overpowers them in their silent cells. We must make healing normal and freedom from the curse of pornography and sexual narcissism a reality! Join us as Father-Con raises the alarm and heralds the victory! God bless you and this work for the good of it!
